The hot summer weather makes us tend to eat healthier and lighter food, and nothing is lighter than fresh savoring salads made with fine and refreshing ingredients. Aside from their natural good taste and great crunchy texture alongside wonderful colors, eating a large serving of salad each day will make you feel satiated yet light. Here is a list of some delicious salads that will make you drool.

Lentil Salad

Lentil is high in proteins and helps in making you feel satisfied and happy.


  • 2 cups of boiled brown lentils
  • Sweet corn 
  • 1 tablespoon of mustard
  • Any kind of seasonal fruit (Peaches, Mango) 
  • 2 cups of cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1 ½ cups chopped cucumber
  • ½ cup coarsely chopped pitted Kalamata olives
  • ½ cup thinly sliced red onion
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • Salt according to desire 
  • 3 tablespoons of lemon juice
  • ½ teaspoon minced garlic
  • ½ teaspoon honey
  • ¼ cup extra-virgin olive oil


  1. Combine lentils with chopped vegetables then grab a bowl to whisk the dressing; garlic, honey, lemon juice, mustard and all the spices. 
  2. Gradually whisk in oil until well combined. Gently stir the dressing into the lentil mixture. Serve immediately or cover and refrigerate for up to 5 days.

Marinated Shrimp Salad 

This lips-smacking salad will change your mind about salads forever! The dazzling taste of marinated shrimps combined with avocados and fresh vegetables drizzled with a citrus vinaigrette will make it your all time favorite. 


  • 2 cups of perfect peeled shrimp 
  •  Thinly sliced coloured peppers 
  • Thinly sliced red onions 
  • Thinly sliced carrots 
  • ½ cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • 2 cups chopped romaine lettuce
  • 2 medium avocados, chopped 
  • ½ cup of pickled ginger 
  • Lemon juice/ balsamic vinegar
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon of cumin
  • Minced garlic 


1- Toss a cube of butter in a pan then add shrimps along with spices (sprinkle of cumin, dried coriander, black pepper and fish spices). Combine them very well for a few minutes then let the shrimp cool down. 

2- In a bowl, combine all vegetables together, toss shrimps over and drizzle it with a dressing of lemon juice, minced garlic, salt, pepper and cumin. 

Chickpea Salad 

Chickpea salad will keep you full for hours and it’s more satisfying than leafy salads. It’s so easy to prepare and takes only minutes to be done. 


  • 1 cup of boiled chickpea 
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • Spices (chili, cumin, black pepper)
  • Thinly sliced onion
  • Finely chopped coriander and dill
  • Pomegranate molasses, lemon, salt 


Mix chickpeas with spices and olive oil and other ingredients and refrigerate it for one hour. And you got a very delicious salad! 

BBQ Chicken Salad 

Take the salad dish to another whole level with this high-protein yet yummy salad!


  • 100 gm of poached pasta 
  • 280 gm of chicken breasts, cubed 
  • 2 bacon medallions
  • 4 teaspoons of light caesar dressing  
  • Finely chopped lettuce 
  • Colored peppers 
  • Sweet corn 


1- Marinate the chicken cubes with salt, pepper, and BBQ sauce (you can use any of your favorite spices). 

2- Melt a cube of butter in a pan, toss chicken cubes and pan sear it then add the chopped beef bacon. 

3- Combine all ingredients in a bowl along with dressing and mix it well.
